Moussa Traore
Moussa joined the Promise Program as its first-ever Postsecondary Success Coach in January 2019 after previously serving as the Hazel Park High School College Adviser from July 2016-June 2018. While serving as college adviser, Moussa was honored by the Michigan College Access Network as an Ombudsman Award winner at its 2018 College Access Impact Awards Dinner. Moussa is originally from the West African country of Mali and holds an Associate of General Studies degree from Lansing Community College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts and Humanities with a minor in Peace and Justice Studies from Michigan State University.

Moussa Traore
The Postsecondary Success Coach provides academic and personal support to Hazel Park Promise students enrolled in postsecondary education. The goal of Success Coaching is to increase semester-to-semester persistence, credit accumulation, and graduation rates for students.
Mr. Traore can help you with:
- • Delivers comprehensive, proactive coaching to Promise students enrolled and preparing to enroll in postsecondary education
- • Communicates with each student throughout the fall and winter semesters, via phone calls, text, email and one-on-one communication
- • Check-in with each student at least twice during the summer
- • Reviews student progress data and plan for the upcoming semester
- • Creates a resource guide with information on key resources at each institution where students are enrolled
